Apologies for the delay in this edition of latest news but computer probs continue.Firstly The Social Weekend it was a resounding success on all fronts.A big thanks to Brain Skoyles,Julian Cundiff,Bill Cottam and Dave Moore for their input,hopefully some of the members will benefit from their knowledge.Also a big thanks to Butty and the Bailiff team,Andrew the chef(who put him in charge of cooking)and the serving wenches,Sheila,Lorna and Elaine for keeping everyone full to bursting.Also £190 was raised for Cancer Research,well done to everyone.Now the fishing.Little Craig has done 3 sessions landing 23 to a best of 16lbs+ with 19 coming in an overnighter.His son Lee guested and had 3 to 14lbs 8oz.Paul(The Lensman)and Kenney had 4 to 14lbs+Craig Thackerey had a 15lb Common at the Social.Butty had 8 fish from 11 runs all between 16 lbs and 19lbs 12oz all on his homemade spam.George Sharman(AKA The Master)fished an overnighter with Richard,with George taking 10 fish to 17lbs 14oz and Richard taking 13 fish to 18lbs 4oz.Finally Pete and Ritas battle of the sexes continues at a pace.Pete is leading with recent catches of 10 fish including 20's of 21lb 11oz and 20lbs 10oz and the rest between 15 and 16lbs.Rita has had 6 to mid doubles.
It appears Pete has taken to rolling Ritas bait with no Amino Acids in to help combat her female Pheramones,well Pete you cheating scoundrel its working,but she'll be back.Don't forget send your catch reports and piccys to Ivan at woodsidewaters@hotmail.com |

Well now the water level is back up the fishing has improved and more members are back on the bank.Adie Newby had managed a couple of sessions having 8 to 19lbs 4oz on his first and landing 6 from 11 to 13ibs on his second.Craig Thackerey had commons of 14,15 and 18lbs 2oz plus a Mirror of 18lbs 4oz,well done fella.Pete and Rita continue their battle of the sexes they've done a couple of recent sessions in which Pete landed 7 fish from 14 runs and Rita 1 fish from 5 runs.Pete has banned Rita from buying new hooks and she now has to use his blunt ones(he will try anything to get in front)He also had a session with Butty and to prevent Rita from going even lied about the weather forecast telling her it was going to rain.Guess what it did'nt and Pete had 9 fish from 11 runs all commons to 18lbs,Can he stoop lower than this.Find out next time on latest news.Don't forget send your catch reports and photos to Ivan at woodsidewaters@hotmail.com |

It appears there are not many anglers getting onto the bank at the moment as summer takes its annual toll on members time.Adie Newby seems to be the only one thats caught this week and after doing a 48hr session he had 8 fish to a best of 14lbs 8oz.There must be others fishing so either they're not catching or just not sending their catch reports in.So don't forget send your catch reports and photos to Ivan at woodsidewaters@hotmail.com |

No one appears to have been fishing this week apart from Little Craig and fishing bud Richard.Craig has caught the rubber hook disease and only landed one carp at 9lbs from 4 runs.Buy some new hooks Craig the ones with points on work best.Richard faired a little better landing 4 from 6 to a best of 19lbs 12oz.Don't forget send your catch reports to Ivan at woodsidewaters@hotmail.com |

Its been a busy couple of weeks at Woodside with plenty of fish coming out but the 20's are obviously eating naturals and not anglers baits.Adie Newby has done a few sessions and had 11 to mid doubles.Carl and Dave fished the other week and had 20 between them the best just over 18lbs.The same weekend Brian and Martyn Skoyles fished and had 31 fish to just over 15lbs a selection of nutrabaits goodies doing the damage.Paul(the lensman)has been a few times and had 10 fish to 12lbs.Little Craig has been a couple of times and banked 13 fish to 15lbs+ with Richard having a couple in a short session to 13lbs 8oz.Pete and Rita have continued their battle of the sexes and have visited 3 or 4 times.Pete has now started to put Rita in the duff side of any swim in an effort to take the lead in their battle of the household so at the moment Pete has taken the lead in numbers,although Rita has taken the better fish to 18lbs 5oz.Come on girl you can do him.Rob Milns visited for a quicky and managed a last knocking 14lbs 10oz common.Butty has been at the lake more times than he can remember and has had 16 takes for 8 fish,Use metal hooks fella not rubber ones.Little Jase fished and had 4 to 18lbs(Nutrabaits I presume)Last but not least Dave Entwistle fished last week and had 8 to 17lbs+.So plenty of fish but no biguns.Don't forget send your catch reports and piccys to Ivan at woodsidewaters@hotmail.com |
