Syndicate Rules
  1. Under no circumstances fish with more than 3 rods, if the lake is busy consider using less.
  2. No litter or fires. Take litter home, no excuses.
  3. Gentlemanly/Ladylike behaviour at all times. (Excessive swearing or rowdy behaviour will not be tolerated)
  4. Unhooking mats must be used, no excuses. No carp to be retained in keep nets and all fish must be returned to the lake, including pike. Carp may only be retained for a short time in order to facilitate photographing.
  5. The permit also covers partners and children fishing whilst the permit holder is present.  If fishing as a family please make every effort to fish as a group and a maximum of 3 rods per permit still applies.
  6. Please record your catches in the syndicate log book in the members cabin.
  7. The toilet has been put on site for a reason, please don’t expose the rest of us to your back to nature excesses.
  8. Park sensibly.
  9. No guns allowed on the lake.
  10. No braided main lines please, for a trial season barbless hooks please. The reedbeds are now extensive and we need as a syndicate to find a way of minimising mouth damage. All leads must be either running or on safety clips, which release the lead easily.
  11. Bait boats and wading to place baits is not permitted. (If you can’t cast it there on a lake this size then you need to practice)
  12. Permits are valid from 1st February to 30th November inclusive. All members are responsible for their own safety whilst fishing.
  13. No long casting beyond the islands, likewise if you are fishing to a far margin and encroaching upon water fished from another swim then move your rod should another member wish to fish that swim.
  14. Please report immediately any suspicious or poor behaviour. Take details including the registration number of the vehicle of any angler infringing the rules. It is no good telling us the following week!
  15. Fish responsibly and respect fellow syndicate members, a map in the cabin denotes which area of lake ‘belongs’ to which peg in the event of the lake being busy. If the lake is quiet you may place baits where you want within reason, please be aware that if this infringes another swim you may have to recast in the event of another member arriving in it.

This list is not exhaustive and prevents no one from enjoying themselves or catching fish.  Our aim is to provide 1st class fishing in pleasant surroundings for all.  If you think about pulling strokes, rest assured we’ve seen it all & probably did it first!

Guest’s permits for both ponds are only permitted by prior approval and must be booked in advance. A charge will be made of £5 per day or part thereof, please telephone Mark or Elaine on 01427 753530 or 07764 195993, 9am to 9pm only!

TO REPORT SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOUR OR VEHICLES PLEASE TELEPHONE MARK 01427 753530 or 07764 195993, NICK on 01724 798253 or 07963 654378 OR DAVE 07821 215485 TAKING AS MANY DETAILS AS POSSIBLE.
